The Lucerne Valley Lions Club operates the only public shooting range in the High Desert and is our primary fundraiser to support our charities. We are open to the public on specific days, so please check the schedule and hours of operation when planning a visit.
We are an outdoor trap/shooting range so please check the weather conditions and dress accordingly.
All persons using the range will adhere to the posted Range Rules and must obey the on-site Range Director AT ALL TIMES. Safety is our number one concern.
TUESDAY
Open: 5:00pm - 8:00pm
Starting Jan. 1, 2026 - $8 per round (25 clays) (Lion Members are $6 per round)
When applicable: $25.00 per person for Trap Competitions
SATURDAY
Open: 8:00am - 3:00pm

All Major Credit Cards are ACCEPTED.
The range is subject to closure due to inclement weather. Since this is often a last minute decision, it is not always possible to notify the public. Please check our Facebook page and website calendar or call the numbers listed below if you have questions about closures.

1. Keep your firearm pointed in a safe direction at all times.
(Muzzle pointed downrange or up)
2. Keep your finger off of the trigger until ready to fire.
3. Case and uncase your firearms at the front firing line bench only when we’re HOT.
4. When not actively shooting your firearm:
a. Place it on the bench pointed downrange.
b. Keep it unloaded and action open and the ejection port facing up.
5. In the event of a malfunction, see Range Safety Officer (RSO) before moving firearm.
6. Children must be supervised at all times and must remain behind the RED line
unless shooting.
7. No tracer or armor piercing incendiary ammo allowed.
8. No full auto or unlawful firearms allowed.
9. Eye and ear protection are required while the range is HOT.
10. When using your firearm, please do NOT flag your neighbor by pointing it in their direction.
You may ONLY point your firearm directly downrange.
11. When we call Last Magazine:
a. Finish shooting what you have loaded in your firearm.
b. Unload all firearms, remove magazines, open the actions, check to make sure they’re clear
and empty, and ground (or bench) all firearms, pointed downrange.
c. Step behind the RED line.
12. When we call the range COLD:
a. Stay behind the RED line and do not handle any firearms during a "Down Range" or
cease-fire.
b. Once cleared, you may go "Down Range" and put up or change or pull down your targets.
Please check back with RSO to be sure you’re placing your target in your lane and not
overlapping another shooters target.
c. You may pickup or sweep up brass during COLD session.
d. Stand behind the RED safety line during the cease-fire
13. Targets:
a. White targets are 22LR caliber only.
b. Yellow targets are Pistol & 22LR caliber only.
c. Blue targets are rifle caliber capable.
14. No-one under the influence of alcohol or mind/mood altering drugs will be allowed on
the ranges.
