BASICS OF PISTOL SHOOTING

The  NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course is a great  way for you to learn  the basics of pistol shooting from the NRA Certified Instructors at  Lucerne Valley Lions Club.

This course will introduce you to the to the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely.  Through this course, you will learn about pistol parts and  operation, ammunition, gun safety, pistol shooting fundamentals, and  pistol shooting activities.

The cost of this course is $100 plus a small processing fee.  This fee includes the cost of classroom instruction and materials as well as instructions on the range and range use fees. LVLC members will receive a discounted rate.  

You must bring your own firearm (.22 caliber is recommended) and at least 100 rounds of ammunition.  In addition, you must have hearing and eye protection out on the range.  Hats/caps are recommended.

The Lucerne Valley Lions Club is a nonprofit organization.  Our  NRA certified instructors and Range Safety Officers offer their  knowledge, skills, and time on a volunteer basis.  All proceeds earned  from this program are then donated to our various charities.  (click  here for list of charities).  We know you have choices when it comes to  learning about firearm safety and the fundamentals of marksmanship.   When you choose to learn with the Lucerne Valley Lions Club and Public  Gun Range you are not only gaining the confidence you need to safely  handle and operate a firearm, you are giving back to your community as  well.  We would like to thank you for allowing us to serve you.
