NRA Certified Range Safety Officer

This class will provide students with the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and  range operations. You will receive NRA Range Safety Officer credentials after successfully completing this course. Click the button below for more information.

Range Safety Officer candidates will learn roles and responsibilities of an RSO; Range Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); range inspection; range rules; range briefings; emergency procedures; and firearm stoppages and malfunctions. Each Range Safety Officer Candidate will receive an RSO Student Study Guide, an NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure and a Course Evaluation form.      

The cost of this course is $100 plus a small transaction fee for non-members.  (Lucerne Valley Lions Club members receive a discount.  Please contact the course instructor for details.)

There are no prerequisites for this course.

The Lucerne Valley Lions Club is a nonprofit organization. Our NRA certified instructors and Range Safety Officers offer their knowledge, skills, and time on a volunteer basis. All proceeds earned from this program are then donated to our various charities. We know you have choices when it comes to learning about firearm safety and the fundamentals of marksmanship.
